Make mine a double!

I now have a 100% improvement on every munro bagged. I have went from 1 to 2 to 4. Hell will freeze over though if you think my next report will be for 8 . Having a wee bit left in the tank and with reflection i now am regretting not carrying on to An Stuc. Still, no point in burning myself out plus i had not done my homework on An Stuc.
I left the Lawers car park (or building site) at 1035 and was back at the car for 1540. It would have been a wee bitty quicker but i had to speak to everyone that passed me whether they liked it or not On the ascent i passed fellow WH member Frank0md. He was kinda excited as he had seen a broken spectre at the top of Lawers. The climb to Beinn Ghlas was uneventful. I tried my best to keep to the main path though it was heavy going on the ankles.
I knew i was heading in the right direction for Ben Lawers as the well trodden path was a giveaway. Unfortunately most of it was shrouded in cloud once again preventing me getting decent photos.
Once at the top of Lawers there were photo opportunities inbetween the clouds. I could have stayed there all day. Theres something special about the eerie sound of silence. A couple of walkers soon joined me at the summit cairn. We had a good talk about our walking exploits. Like me they were still on single figures but now hoplesselly got the same addiction as me it would appear. I had a look over at An Stuc, but my sensible head won the day (for once)
I set off a good 10-15 minutes befor the other walkers i had met at the summit. My plan was to retarce my steps by going back over Beinn Ghlas. Bizarrely i met up with them again at the exact spot where the path bypassing Beinn Ghlass comes out. This was a tremendous day for me to be honest. Im starting to develop more knowledge of what makes a good hill from a not so good one. Weeks holiday(again) next week. Time to get my planning head on me thinks..
