Really good - thanks for sharing. As much as the narrow craggy ridges of the west and north west look appealing, the Cairngorms from Deeside really do look stunning - just got to build up the stamina to hack them with the walk in/out to Derry Lodge - I m no cyclist!

   Oops, Next time I see Chris I'll have to apologise to him for not calling him Jim  Not very good with names. Not that good with faces either  Names and faces? Oh dear, that's just a recipe for disaster  It was good to meet all three of you on the hills though :D Glad you enjoyed your day. I can concur on the sore feet :( I'm just about recovered now for this weekend.

I hope you get out to the mamores this weekend. Some of my favourite hills :D I'm not decided yet myself. It could be another Cairngorms trip if that's where the best weather is. Ideally I'm looking to get up to the north west highlands, but the weather just never seems to be that good there at the moment :( I think it will probably be a late call on my part.

Cheers Sabbathstevie :D Agree with you on both the craggs and the Cairngorms. It's a good 45 minute walk into Derry Lodge and with tired legs nearer 60 minutes on the way back  then all that walking in between - but all well worth it :D

I'm no cyclist either - did the Maggies bike and hike a couple of years ago and appart from 3 hours training a few days before the event it was my first time on a bike in well over 15 years  I much prefer walking :D
