Was walking last week up the Beinn a ghlo hills which took my total to 96 munro's so after putting my report up i asked anybody for suggestions to hit the 100 mark pigeon and Johnny corbbet suggested the 5 at lochnagar. So i had a look at their reports the pictures looked fantastic so that was that lochnagar it was.

Picked Alec and the dog up at 5am of we went got to the carpark at 7.35 the weather wasn't looking that good the mist was low awe well were here now
carpark.JPG
Away we went dead on 8.00 the hill is well pathed all the way to the top of lochnagar you can't go wrong never took any photo's because of the mist :( made good progress to a cairn where the path splits take the left path

path
the climb gets a wee bit steeper but nothing to bad made the bealach in good time walked acroos to see if the clag would lift so i could get a pic of the loch but no chance so away we went

me on way up
the wind was blowing quite bad now i was quit **** off with the weather and i wasn't even on my first hill  especially as the weather at the weekend was SUPERB i was working double shifts.

Anyway got to lochnagar 2hr18mins

wounderfull views not so the rest of the walk was going to be like this at on point i thought to myself F%$k it lets go home but the urge to hit my 100th hill took over so we pressed on.The wind was blowin straight in over face's most of the way to Carn A Coire Bhoidheach

Didn't stop on we went to Carn An T-Sagairt Mor as we got down a bit it looked like the clag might lift fingers crossed followed the path up and round the side mist the path up it not by much 30 mtr, so gust went sraight up to the summit easy climb this hit the path half way up to the summit made the summit in ten mins

Congrats on the 100 quoman :D Pity about the weather though :( You'll just have to return on a good day and do them all again and see the views that you missed :D That's what I have to do, as I had pretty much the same weather experience as you on this group. Still a good walk though :D

Here's to your next 100 :D

Great effort and well done on the 100 milestone quoman. I still have these to do and with the weather in the west being generally poor think it might not be long away.

Congrats on the ton Quoman, I think you picked the right place to reach it just not the right day. I love this area and the rolling hills around Loch Muick....maybe you'll have to go back and do it again

Some good photos there considering it was blowing a gale. How long has it taken to reach the 100?

Aye it was some day,it took about 18months i think i cant remember when i started but once you start to do multiple hills your count shoots up.

You realise Quoman, that now I know that we started about the same time, and we are at about the same stage in the munro count, things may well get competitive between us..
