And I couldn't have picked a better day for it, glorious weather! 8)

Parked up at Inveruglas at half 9, headed off back along the A82 20 minutes later. With it being my first munro since last September, I soon got a sweat on but I was blaming the warm sunshine rather than my lack of fitness! :D

Found the wee cairn no problem but kept losing the track on the first part of the ascent, just kept heading straight up and soon picked it up again. Very boggy and should have packed my gaiters.

Reached the top just after half 12 and sat for about 45 minutes. I'd only seen one guy and his wee dog all day up until this point then folk started appearing from all angles! First 2 older gents, who kindly took my summit pics, then another 2 and just as I was leaving, another 3 turned up! Ended up quite a gathering as you'll see from the pic below!

I was back down on the track just before 3pm and at the car by half past.

Special thanks to the kind lady in the cafe who sold me a bottle of Irn Bru, despite them being closed. She actually gave me it for 10p less as well as they'd cashed up and that's all the change I had.

All in all a great day for my first of the year and can't wait to get back out again.

Congratulations on your double figures - a great day for it  A similar thing happened to me at the same cafe - went up this hill with my younger son who had just turned 11 - he was desperate for an ice cream back at the cafe but, even though they were closing up, they made an exception for him - made all the difference - cheers :D

Many congrats on your 10 up. We were up Narnain and Ime the day before to bring up our total to 5 and with that tiny milestone under our belts we are already talking about what we could do for our tenth.
