Tuesday was booked for my monthly social walk - a few of us get together, speak a lot of ***** along the coast or up a hill. Took the bus to arrochar(so oldjun could use bus pass), bimbled along glen loin then up ben vane. A memorable, gloriously sunny day - hot and hazy.

On wednesday had lots to do but instead sneaked out of house early and caught train to blair atholl. Walked over bein a' ghlo munros, windy on top but still fine. Not a car passed on road to monzie and walked along river to/from old bridge tilt-always a pleasure. A long day from train station but worth it - the wide open rolling heathery landscape providing a contrast with yesterday's arrochar alps.
