Thanks to the fantastic weather today this turned out to be one of my most enjoyable walks to date,I had originaly only planned to do Beinn Each but once up on the hill and looking over to Stuc a Chroin I decided it was to good an opportunity to miss and done them both, there is a good path all the way although very rocky and quite steep in places it did not prove to difficult, doing it in poor visibility however could be a different matter.

Look at those skies - you certainly picked the right place for the weather - makes all the difference.

That's an interesting combination instead of Stuc a' Chroin and Ben Vorlich - might give that a go instead. Does that route miss out the crossing below the steep crag on Stuc a' Chroin from the col between it and Ben Vorlich (I'm assuming it must but haven't looked at the map yet...)?

Hi MC,you are right,as you are approaching Stuc a Chroin from the opposite side and this route is pretty straight forward, put it this way if I could manage it I'm sure you will be more than capable,if you are lucky with the weather as I was you will enjoy it.

Great :) I'll probably do Ben Vorlich first, have a look at the scrambly path across the crag on Stuc a' Chroin and, if I don't like the look of it, do your route for Stuc a' Chroin instead. I've started collecting the odd Corbett anyway. Thanks for that!

Glad someone posted this walk. I climbed Vorlich as a kid but never went on to Sa'C, so was looking for an alternate route for it (not to avoid the ascent up Vorlich, honest ). It also saves me a good 30mins driving each way which is becoming a real issue for me these days. Might do this route this weekend in fact :D.

Thanks for sharing. That looks a great hike to do and heard a lot of folks say this when I did my 5th Munro at Ben Vorlich 2 weeks ago and got a lovely day and views. Can’t wait to do this walk after doing my first Corbett Ben Ledi 3 weeks ago so Beinn Each and Stuc a Chroin look such a fabulous combination to do and I get an another Munro and Corbett as well. Thank you 😊
