Fersit to say, it was a good day!

Weather forecast for Sunday was ok but not grand. I have been dying to do a walk from Fersit for a while. So when my pal harry said he did not want to do too long a walk, I thought ah-ha.
We were parked up & ready for the off by 09:30 following an easy run from Glasgow & could see Sron na Garbh bheinne & Chno Dearg from the parking area. Set off along the track. The phone box mentioned & marked on the map is no were to be seen. At the farm buildings we were advised to stay away from the cows as they might charge us because of the dog so with that in mind we went through the field full of sheep (Millie firmly on the lead & did not give them a glance). Once out of the field we noticed that there is a bit of a path that goes around said field.
We then headed for the nose of Sron which has some steep bits, but nothing like the steep nose of the two on the other side of Treig. The views really opened up as we climbed. The whole area is magnificent.
Lots of photo taking from around the summit of Stob Coire Sgriodain, including walking out to stand at the end of a ridge above Loch Treig that everyone does.
Met a chap moving at speed who was heading eventually for Loch Ossian via Chno & Beinn na Lap.
The pull up to the summit of Chno Dearg was tougher with quite deep snow in parts, but simple enough.
From just below the summit we could still make out the parking area so no problem with the homeward direction. The snow & gradient presenting excellent opportunity for a glissade or two, only wish I had brought my sledge.
Eventually came across a path of sorts as we headed back to the track.
A top day out, no rain, no wind & clear tops. One of those rare days when Lochaber has better weather than everywhere else.
