The walk started from the Knoydart Bunkhouse, where we were based for our 2 days of walking. Mountain Thyme had 4 Munros till compleation, 3 of them on Knoydart so myself and my walking buddies Jimmy and Mo decided to join her on this penultimate trip and with us coming Mountain Thyme was guaranteed perfect weather . We arrived at Inverie on the Friday at 3pm, checked into the bunkhouse then had a few beers before our first walk on the Saturday. Jimmy & Mo coped ok on the Saturday as they are both alkies and used to hard days after a night on the drink but myself and Mountain Thyme struggled slightly . The walk took 10 hours in total, taking in the Munros Meall Buidhe and Luinne Bheinn. As said we left from the bunkhouse at 07.30am taking the track up Gleann an Dubh-Lochain, leaving it just after the memorial monument where another track led through Gleann Meadail. After crossing the second bridge we started the climb upto the ridge, this was where the evenings drinking started to take effect as it was reasonably steep and the sun was out making it hard going. Eventually we made it to the ridge and onwards to Meall Bhuidhe, with the views enroute and onto Luinne Bheinn being amongst the best we had ever seen. From Meall Bhuidhe we continued down and round the curving ridge and onto Luinne Bheinn and from here down to Mam Barrisdale and the path back to the bothy. I struggled with the last few kilometers due to a sore foot and was concerned i wasn't going to make it out on the Sunday but after Mo suggesting i take an Ibuprofen i was a right as rain on the Sunday. Luckily i also had my summer boots for the Sunday as 10hours in the Meindles were maybe a bit long as Mountain Thyme also struggled in her Meindles but she wasn't clever enough to bring two pairs of boots.
