Glen Vorlich a night and a day

After an early finish to the day's walking I decided to wild camp up Glen Vorlich rather than join the ‘fishermen’ alongside the loch. Arrived at Ardvorlich House around 4:30pm to find the mountain rescue circus in full operation (RN 19, Police, Tayside MRT, Ambulance, etc); walker with broken arm eventually airlifted off the hill once he'd been escorted down below the cloud base.
Found a nice spot to camp at the end of the estate road, just beyond the woods, with a great view (NN 630 211)

Packed up the tent etc. into a bin liner and stashed it in the heather before setting off at 8:15am. The cloud cleared off the summit by the time I arrived around 9:45am but still a stiff wind to contend with. Met up with Pete (from Lancaster) enjoying a snack and the sunshine in the Bealach an Dubh Choirein, we joined up for the ascent of the Stuc a’Chroin, straight up the prow, probably had to take a steeper route that normal due to the slushy snow patches but still only an easy scramble.
Dropped down the easy NW ridge before traversing the hillside to the bealach and onward around Vorlich to rejoin the main path, could see any ‘waymarkers’ so we just kept high well away from the bogs.
Back down at the car for 1:30pm after a very pleasant but not too strenuous a time in the hills, well recommended.
