First walk report, here goes
Woke up early on sunday morning, porridge and a coffee then headed for the crianlarich hills
usually take my wee sidekick Bruno (the dog) but thought it might be too much for him lol
Arrived at the lay-by on the A82 at 7:00am, quickly got my clobber on and set off, first munro of the day in my sights, An Caisteal, over the fence into the soaking field, bit of a mission trying to get under the rail-bridge without getting soaked right away crossed the bridge over the river falloch then headed straight up An Caisteal
reached the summit at 8:30am
left An Caisteal and headed to Beinn Chabhair, arrived at Beinn Chabhair summit 10:00am
had a bite to eat then set off to Beinn a' Chroin, arrived at the summit at 11:40am
left Beinn a' Chroin at 12:00pm heading for Beinn tulaichean, stopped at the bealach for some lunch at 13:00, after a deserved break and a few mars bars i was good to go again and headed up Beinn Tulaichean, reached the summit at 14.10
this was the hottest part of the day for me, weather was absolutely brilliant and was having the time of my life
left the summit and headed for Cruach Ardrain, reached the summit at 15:20
the views from here were amazing, sat here for a good 40 mins wondering if i should call it a day and bag Ben More and Stob Binnein another day, but they were looking inviting
i had finally decided i was going to carry on and set off at 16:00, arrived at the bealach below Stob Binnein at 17:15
from here i headed up to the bealach between Ben More and Stob Binnein
third attemt for that pic
reached Stob Binnein summit 19:10
didnt stay long as the wind was picking up now and was getting chilly, set off and was starting to feel it in my legs now, ben more summit not far away now, keep plodding on
reached Ben More summit at 20:30, at this moment i was feeling quite proud of myself
by this time my legs were tired and i had no food left, body was totally drained and my descent from Ben More was the hardest part all day, finally reached ben more farm at 22:00 and phoned a taxi back to my car at the A82, was a long day on the hills but was amazing and enjoyed chatting to the other walkers but missed my wee sidekick Bruno (the dog)
