A cracking set of pics, not many southern Highland peaks that look as alpine as Cruachan with a splattering of snow on it. The view from its summit must be one of the finest in the land

Great stuff Bod - I can see what I missed having spent the day in the clag up there I do clearly remember the slabbed sections being slippy in the wet - and recall feet, hands and backside to get down them as I was going counterclockwise. Hope to go back some time but only if I get weather like yours - cheers

Same here! Bod, your pictures show me something I haven't seen on any other photo's, and sure didn't know about at the time I was there. I thought I was just being clumsy and off route, I really had to concentrate on those slabs, covered with just enough slippery stuff to be very awkward.

Thanks Bod - the pictures of the slabs and the wee narrow path at the top has answered a few questions I had about this one. None of the other reports I've read seem to show whats involved. Well done - we plan to do this this weekend
