It was my day of today so decided to head for my local hills to stretch the legs,I started late so I did not do all the tops, set off from Flotterstone car park just of the A702 and followed the tarmac road up past Glencorse and Loganlea Reservoirs then continued along the rough track just past the waterfalls where I turned left onto a narrower path that leads you across the moorland of Hare hill then you reach another good size track, turn left here and make for the foot of West Kip the first steep climb of the day,the route from here is easy to follow, the next hill is East Kip then on to the highest point on the Pentlands,Scald Law at a mere 579m,the next top is Carnethy Hill then finally on to Turnhouse Hill then down hill all the way back to the car park,if you were to do the full route it would include another 5 tops and would be 21kms,have not done it yet but plan to soon. The weather today was not as forecast, turned out to be a lot of low cloud, supposed to be sunny/cloudy.Anyway I wanted to try out my new camera so it was a good excuse to get out.
