Thanks Dooterbang. I think sometimes photos make things look more scary than they actually are. Yes there are steep bits and exposed bits but the rock is wonderfully sticky (when dry!) and then there's the reassurance of a rope when needed.

If you're aiming to climb the Munros, rather than tackle the ridge, most of these are not dissimilar to some of the more challenging mainland Munros. In my view, the main difficulty of the In Pinn is the exposure (if you can see it - go on a foggy day  ). The climb itself is straightforward and there's the option of being lowered off the top if you're not familiar or confident with abseiling - assuming you're not on your own of course

The main challenge of the Cuillin is I think in the route finding as you can quickly find yourself in very difficult terrain if you go off route. So I would recommend going with a guide or an experienced friend, then you can relax and enjoy the magical ride :D

Fabulous report.

A mate and I are heading there next week to avoid the Jubilee stuff down here.

I have done a blog about my preparations, feel free to comment on it

Looks like you've put in a lot of prep for the ridge and, if you're heading up this weekend, you're in for a treat! Wall to wall sunshine 8) Enjoy! :D
