Set off early with a few ideas in mind- Bidean,or Beinns Udlaidh and Bhreac-Liath. An easy enough drive up, casting a glance towards Cruach Ardrain et-al they were a little foggy :o
Well- :idea: why not Ben More and Stob Binnien if its foggy here then there is a chance the sun is shining above :wink:
Parked up, readied and off.I had never summited Ben More up this route before. The first time from the Balquidder side on a linear walk, the second -through the forrest track after an ascent of Sgiath Chuil. Virgin territory today.

A little way up from the style;

Pea-soup :lol: ;

Cranked up the pace till I reached the gate- lying open, cheers farmer :thumbup: Set off into the mirk and mire. It has been said this is a bit of a grunt- straight up the front, but It didn't seem to bad to me. Maybe it was my expectation of the conditions above me that tainted my thoughts at the time :wink:

A look back;

A look ahead, possibitlities :wink: ;

I only had a shirt and a Paramo vest on today, the shirt had to come off as I enter the realm of the sun 8)

Now i am 'running' up so as to catch the views before they disappear- not that that is going to happen, mind games eh !!

Maybe I was right after all, seems to be breaking up;

Spent a little time at the summit enjoying the slight breeze, the off to No 2 for the day. The temp was fairly rising, and I was glad I had opted for the early start.

A view from the bealach;

Head down for a time, and tabbed my way up. no messing about today -too warm on ascent, get up for the breeze :)

Had to leave unfortunately, I could have spent an age messing about taking photos and drinking it all in 8) .
Headed to the bealach and down to the huge rock. made my way down behind it traversing to any dry areas I could find with the top of the forest as my guide.

Made the track end- a bulldozed disaster :shock: and casually ambled for a bit.Changed my vest for a t-shirt and just slowly jogged back out. Met a few people on the track heading into the 'sauna' that was the corrie. Hope they were carrying enough water, they were going to need it !!

Nope, not me. Probably the two guys I met as I was going up Stob Binnein as they were coming down.

Great pics indeed, We left Blair Atholl this morning thinking it would be a good day for an inversion. Glad to see we were right, will maybe catch it later on in the year. We had a real scorcher on Wednesday up on Beinn a'Ghlo.
