Having accompanied Mountain Thyme on 12 previous Munros as well as a few Corbetts and a Graham, today i would join her amongst others for her final Munro, Shiehallion. We were due to set off from the tourist route at 11am but didn't set off till after half past due to one of her friends leaving late, i'm not saying who she was but there ia a photo of her making her way up the path as we waited for her to catch up. Unknown to any of us at this time but there was another friend of Mountain Thymes allready at the summit awaiting her arrival. We arrived at the summit at 13.30 while the friend had been there since about 10 o'clock. Once at the summit i said to MT, right lets get your photo and at this point some nutter in a Jimmy Saville costume joined MT at the summit. The said nutter was none other than mgmt who had climbed over 200 Munros with Theresa and he had hauled up a picnic table, a cool box with a few bags of ice in it, a bottle of champagne, food and all the other things you need for a party, what a guy. After the summit photo Michael set up the table and got all the food out, it was party time and we spent 1 hour in the glorious sunshine sipping champagne and eating all the grub Michael had hauled up before heading back down. Guys and Gals as Jimmy would say, it was a superb day and a great laugh especially when Michael was waiting on us all coming when he said he saw myself then Theresa but he heard Mo which is not suprising as you allways hear Mo before you see her  Mountain Thyme, well done on compleation, what an achievement.  MGMT, well done on lugging all that gear up, the food was great. Jimmy Craghopper, i'll accept nothing less when it's my turn for compleation

Big well done Theresa, absolutely fantastic acheivement  8)

What an adventurous 3 years of highs, lows, early rises and sleeping in cars.

How did you feel when at the summit?

Brilliant by Michael to set up a welcoming feast :)

Awesome stuff indeed...
