Cannae wait for part 2.

Well done on managing to re-balance your self at that crucial moment..

We were on the A and E ridge at the weekend, was a great day indeed.

After reading your part 1 there now looks like there maybe some hope for us all on Liathach.

Loved reading your report, been putting this one off, but thinking next time we are up that way we will go for it. Had a giggle at the comment you nearly "pat your shants"...agree its not a good idea to go down drops facing out, had a similar moment on Beinn Allign, on the horns, where I somehow managed to have one leg dangling downwards and the other stuck up behind me, my other half was shouting for me to just let go and he would catch me...had visions of us both disappearing over the edge   Well done and great photos!

Fab report

RE the poles - I learnt my lesson recently on An Teallach. I was following my partner down some seat of the pants bits and my poles kept catching (no nothing too dramatic - just annoying). When we got down I asked Andy why he didn't have any such problems as he had poles stowed away too. But he had his on the side of his back-pack. On my pack you have to take the basket bits off the feet of the poles to get them in the side pockets but that's hard any bother when the consequences of having them on the back can be so dangerous.

Your honesty is to be admired. As are your photos, especially love the one of the deer looking over the edge. Surreal.

Great report meatball :D Loved the deer photo (well all the photos actually) and like others had to laugh at the "pat my shants" reference. I know that feeling

I still have this one to do, so your description of the scrambles is very encouraging :D
