At last! A plan to complete the Fisherfield 6 which comes to fruition. And what a weekend to choose. It was 30 degrees when we stopped in Aviemore on the way up and 28 deg when we started off at 5 pm on friday 25th May. The plan was to walk in to Sheneval and find somewhere to camp out but with the weather being so good we pushed on for another two hours camping beside Lochan Beinn Dearg and knocking a few miles off what was going to be a hot and hard day on Saturday.
That's exactly what it was but worth every minute of hardship. The most memorable walk I have ever done. Scotland in all its glory. I must have taken well over 100 photos but none of them do complete justice to the breathtaking scenery of Scotland's great wilderness.























I will remember this walk for the rest of my life. A huge, dramatic, beautiful group of mountains which are impossible to put into words and pictures. Best thing would be to go there for yourself. Enjoy.

Can I ask,the 18hrs,was that from the car to car,or camp to camp.

Thanks Gammy.The 18 hours was total walking time car to car. Split over Friday night, Saturday and Sunday morning. We carried everything. I started at 16kg and my mate 18kg. The extra weight gave us badly blistered feet which I have never had on a walk.

Thanks for that,I plan much the same......................fri,walk in & camp at Shenevall...........................sat the 6 munros................sat nite camp...................................sun walk back out.

Super report, great time to be up there with the weekends weather.

We were doing the six sunday/monday. Think it was probably your tents that we saw in the Elder woods as we crossed the river on sunday morning.

We did the route in reverse which I was glad of when I saw the steep ascent of Mullach Coire Mhic Fhearchair... wouldn't have enjoyed descending that scree path.

Best part of the round for me was wild camping on the plateau (tennis court) at 880m on Beinn Tarsuinn and watching the sun setting on A' Mhaighdean.

Thankfully no blisters for us, but we did feel the extra weighty packs taking their toll on our feet. The dogs claws were worn back almost to the quick due to the amount of boulder hopping going on.

I saw that flat "tennis court" on Beinn Tarsuinn. Quite a unique feature and a great place to camp. Lack of water for about 75% of the walk might have been a problem for camping out. You could go up there 1000 times and not get weather like last week. It was beyond superb.
