Had a great walk up Ben Venue today.
Just a wee note to say that there is a large section of the walk closed off at the bottom of the hill just now due to logging. Roughly this is from the end of section 2, with you walking on the South side of Gleann Riabhach instead of the North, and continues till you reach the open hill side)
There is a well signed diversion but it is through dense plantations for the most with some difficult sections and the inevitable bog or two. Having not walked here before I'm not sure how it compares to the route described but seemed to add a bit of time and distance to the walk. Sign at the top suggested this will be on going till March 2013
