Fine report and pics Bod.I done these two on the 16th June this year and the weather was shocking! :( Once we left the CIC Hut the mist came down and that was us all day until we headed down to the halfway lochan. I will need to go back again for the views and take mingsmissus and her mini version with me!

well done bod and gang, looked like a great day on what can only be described as thee best mountain in the country. i dont think i ever tire of looking at photo,s of the ben. dont no were you crossed the river on return, but there is a feint path that leads you to the top car park at north face route, it does however require a balancing act on old railway line and fence holding.

Thanks folks for all the extra comments. Yes it was a great day out, and to answer mgmt's question, crossing the river on the way back down to the north face carpark was no problem. Maybe we got lucky with low water levels?
Cheers all  :D :D

Wonderful report Bod!

We didn't complete Arete because of high winds and even higher numbers of people at the summit of Nevis!!!!

We were very lucky with the low water levels too, made the crossings easy peasy for a change

Hi David,

Cheers, good to hear from you. Best to carry plenty water as not really any water sources on this outing. Well worth it though  :D :D

I wouldn't touch the water up that way, it's well trodden with lots of waste in the area, putting it politely.
