I like Broad Buttress and I cannot lie.
You other scramblers can't deny
When the sun is high and the rock is dry
There's just one ridge gonna catch your eye.

Gotta pull up tough cos you noticed that rib was rough.
Deep on the Buachaille's north face
Is one stoked climber's favourite place.

Haha, I didn't even notice I'd written that - I say 'young so-and-so' all the time even if the person in question is 50 years my senior. Something my Dad always does that seems to have rubbed off on me. We all have our little quirks!

Yes it's a pleasant way up to stob dearg with some variations possible......a while since I have been in there though also fine under wintery conditions.

My apologies for the previous reply.....just having a browse in my wee red book was thinking of North Buttress on BEM when I saw these images.....they do look a bit similar to the terrain on NB

Gaffr, I finished on North Buttress actually: got to the top of Broad Butt(ress) and felt like I had plenty of climbing left in me so traversed across Great Gully onto a slimy ledge and thence up to the top on pretty decent rock. It's brilliant to top out right at the summit cairn

I was getting confused there as well with the last pictures haha
