My first attempt at a Munro with Zach our Lhasa apso pup still only 7 months old but already loves the hills. We started from the car park just outside Arrochar and set of up that zig zagging path until we got to a vehicle path then we turned left and went along for a bit before we turned left up a track and the real hard work started.

I was sore on the legs and I seemed to have to stop after a few step but we eventually got above the tree line. But apart from a couple of short sections the hill was steep all the way. We stopped for lunch about 30min before the top according to Jim Milner (took us more like an hour) but we got there.

it was looking a bit scarry at this point I'm not great with heights

good fun "I think"

Very scary approaching the spearhead buttress but I liked scrambling up the side of it, I did not want to stand on top though I’m not very good with heights.

on the top, great view if you like that kind of thing

We went over to the cairn at the top got the photo and then headed of the back and down to meet up with the Cobbler path.

It was a long walk out that seemed to take for ever eventually we were back at the zig zaggy path and we were back at the car thank goodness. It took me a couple of days to recover but Zach loved it.

I found Narnain to be a great hill, loved doing it. Has a wee bit of everything :)

Nice photos Elaine. Like the one with Zach and the Cobbler behind, looks a bit breezy for him. :-)

I done this about two weeks ago, looks like you went the hard route, I never seen any climbs like that at all the way I went up lol, it was just a straight path all the way, good photos though

It's very much a hill of two sides. The side that faces Beinn Ime is rather bland. The side that faces Arrochar is a great climb.

Nice photos as well Elaine :)
