We awoke to glorious sunshine on our 3rd day on Skye. Having driven past this great sight on the way to our Bed and Breakfast, we decided this was another must do walk.

Parked up in the well sign posted carpark, set about getting sorted and then headed up the track towards the Old Man. A brief strole through a forrest section opens up nicely for the first great views of the day.

This is another walk with a great easy path to follow, at least until up and round the corner, over the non existant stile. As height is gained the views improve with each step.

Follow the track up onto the hill to the right of the Old Man and over the brow of the hill, over the stile (Fence and rock in other reviews) and round to the left. The track is lost for awhile, but a scramble upwards brings one to a great view point which provides this great photo op

It was at this point that we lost the track and ended up navigating ourselves up some very steep banking and onto the ridge. The top was not far away but with excellent weather and visibilty we enjoyed great views once there.

Having read other reviews of this walk, they all mentioned mssing out the first 2 gullies, then following the stream down off the ridge. With excellent weather and fine views, this was easy to do, following the ridge line downhill till the stream. At the stream a bit of a scramble is required to get down but this was not to bad.

and once down the route was clearer

We then followed the well defined track all the way to the road then back to the carpark. A great walk completed.
