We climbed Binsey from Binsey Lodge, having had to abort Wainwright's ascent from High Ireby as it now crosses private land. The ascent from Binsey Lodge (235352) is a delightfully easy walk to the summit, with views to be enjoyed all around - the northern fells behind Skiddaw to the east, the north western fells and Bassenthwaite to the south, and the sweep of the coastal plain to the west and north. We had views of the Isle of Man and Scotland, as it was a clear day. A great place to sit and think, or enjoy a book on a warm day :D
