Valerie, Gavin99, Morecambe Monkey, myself and of course Ritchie (back out on the hill again after missing out on CMD arete), taking full advantage of a wee holiday courtesy of her Majesty :D :D

A very fine and enjoyable walk for the four us, first passing by the amazing green loch (An Lochain Uaine) before climbing Bynack More. Fancied adding a variation on the return route, so headed southwest over A'Choinneach to arrive at the Saddle before ascending steeply up Cairngorm.

We had one car left earlier at the Ski Centre carpark which allowed for a final short drive back down to Glenmore Lodge to our starting point.

The photos describe well the story of our day spent playing on rocks, scrambling boulders and exploring the amazing Barns of Bynack.

My favourite walk in the Cairngorms. Lochain Uaine is a magic spot :D
I'll have to re-do Bynack More some day, we climbed it on a very windy day and couldn't explore the Barns of Bynack as much as I wanted to. Always fancied scrambling to the top of these rocks

I did once think about that - but then sense prevailed and I thought better of it!

Great photo's Bod. Looks like you got the views like we did in Ullapool. That Morecambe Monkey doesn't half get around, he's great company, we met while walking up An Caisteal and Beinn A' Chroin earlier this year.

A great day Bod - the tors look interesting from a distance but even better when you're in and around them. Love this whole area - we're up in Coylumbridge almost every summer for holidays. It's great when you get to see the Green Loch flat and calm and the view over Loch Avon is fabulous - cheers :D
