Was our first trip to Ullapool and having climbed Ben Wyvis on Friday the 13th July (and getting lost on the way down as we decided to come down via An Carn Gorm...but thats another story!) we decided to do Beinn Dearg on Sunday the 15th July...woke up to a very rainy day. It was pouring buckets of rain and about 10am the rain eased off. We decided to just chance it and do the hike up Beinn Dearg as it was only 10mins or so drive from where we were staying (the very lovely Braemore Square B&B and apartments....fantastic hosts and fab place!).

So we made our packed lunches and stocked up on Jelly Babies and Snickers and set out, for what was going to be the most amazing and scenic hike I have ever done (excluding Kilimanjaro...but that again is another story!)..

Am not going to write any more but let the photos do the talking....beautiful gorgeous walk...well worth the tiring day!
