Sunset at Brimmond Hill

Headed up to Brimmond Hill to photograph the sunset. Got there at 850pm, by the time we set off, stopping to photograph aeroplanes at ABZ, we got to the top and it was 920pm. Set up the tripod and shot some nice photos of Aberdeen city. Found a great spot overlooking the Mither Tap and snapped away as the sunset before heading back to the car and leaving at 10pm.

Funny, was just wondering which hill gives the best views of Aberdeen city - now I know will try to get up there next visit

Brimmond Hill is the only hill I can really think of that has a decent view of Aberdeen.

Brimmond Hill can be accessed directly from the village of Kingswells.
Follow core paths 42 onto 33. On a sunny day Brimmond Hill Country Park is a lovely place for a picnic.
The route may be slightly boggy in places & mostly on well defined paths, with no special difficulties.

You can park at the playing field and catch the path that goes past the Highland Coo's if going from Kingswells. I prefer the path near Craibstone Golf Course. Tarred all the way.
