Just a quick jaunt up my last unclimbed Sub2K Marilyn in the Fife & Stirling section, with Ailsa in the kiddy carrier on my back.

Weather started out nice but quickly deteriorated as we approached Munduff Hill and crossed the summit plateau. Cleared up again after we took shelter for 15 minutes or so in the trees below the big golf ball, but then another heavy shower hit us as we neared the summit of Bishop Hill.

Opted to take the track down the front of the hill to Kinnesswood rather than retrace my steps and lived to regret this decision once I was on the flat ground behind Kinnesswood. It was an entirely unpleasant experience walking in shorts through thick undergrowth which was above my head for much of the time with the path doing a vanishing act on numerous occasions.

I took the first opportunity that presented itself to get off this "path" and back onto the main road for the short walk back along to the car at Portmoak Church. This section was enlivened considerably by the livestock in the field just past Bishopshire golf course who insisted on following us along the fence for the entire length of their field, much to Ailsa's amusement!

We need more reports like this one, lovely to see you out and about with little Ailsa and her enjoying herself so much. I love the 'taking shelter' shot. Shame the rain came down and the undergrowth came up, but I'm sure you had a great day being repeatedly Monkey Moo'd on the back of the head as you went

Ages ago Kev! She was taking a few faltering steps at Christmas time and by the time of her first birthday in March she was pretty much walking. Now there's no stopping her - you should see her climb! I tell you, she wouldnae be oot o' place on the Aonach Eagach! :D

Cheers Chris. How did you guess??? Were you watching from the long grass???? Nah, years of bitter experience no doubt! Actually, most of the time we were on the move, Monkey Moo was safely zipped up inside the pack for his own safety!
