Enjoyed that - and some sensible advice too. The Harvey map is definitely the one to use, as it's not obscured by crag symbols. After seeing it on the wall at Skye Mountain Rescue I bought a copy before my next visit. (We were helping with the rescue as my friend is a doctor, rather than being rescued, I hasten to add.)
I remember scrambling back down to An Dorus from Ghreadaidh and passing a party coming up roped up, and wondering whether a safety rope might not have been a bad idea.
Didn't know about Eag Dubh. It looks fun. That basalt dyke is almost like a staircase in your pictures.
