Nipped up just before the sun went down on Saturday night.
Just a word of warning for anyone else thinking of heading along as there are major parking restrictions in place, usually room for 20+cars but they are making new lay-by and coned of all of the grass embankment.
There is a small in-shot which can take two cars just East of distillery otherwise you will have to hoof it along to the Beechtree's inn.

If anyone wants to make this a longer walk then park up at the war memorial in Blanefield and simply follow the water track that runs below the Campsies. You can either walk along to join the path up from Glengoyne or there is an earlier path that will take you to towards

This will make the return walk nearer 10k and have the obvious advantage of finishing at the Blane Valley Inn. :)

Because of the roadworks, on Sunday most folks just parked their cars on the pavement further along.
