Just a brief plug for public transport where possible. Caught the 0850 bus from Inverness arriving at Torran Dubh a little after 10.00, fare was a very reasonable £8.90 return and the very helpful driver said he would look out for me on the return trip. Weather was reasonable to start with some blustery wind and low cloud, did not take long to get up into the cloud and it remained for most of the day until the descent. Arrived back at the roadside at 17.30 so had about an hour to wait, its always a bit of concern when using public transport if you will get back in time but it was fine, on the tops the wind was very strong and for most of the way I could not see the route ahead so on a better day it could be done a bit faster. ( I consider myself an average 64 year old walker)
