Walkhighlands

Two days of excellant weekend weather based at the old school house in Torrin. The first day was spent doing the Dubhs ridge above Loch Coruisk. The second day we spent on the traverse of Clach Glas and Blaven. Having previously done the traverse above Torrin but on that occasion we added Belig and the Corbett Garbh-bheinn to the circuit. This time the route was shorter heading for the col above Choire a' Caise to begin the scramble. Poor old Clach Glas, a very fine mountain, but doesn't seem to get a look in any of the lists and tables.

Pic No4 (the wee slab) looks scary but I'm guessing the camera angle makes it look worse than it is?? - or else you all look fairly casual on a vertical slab!

Wow, this is pretty amazing, not sure if I'm up for it but the pics are great. Somehow I think when Mountain Coward sees the last photo he might hide in his closet.

Hello stretch, I enjoyed your images from the Starav area, this is also one of my favourite areas...you never seem to meet tooo many folks on the hills down there....and the approach from the other side of the hills, even quieter, is also rewarding...not that I have done Ben Starav from that side!

Good to see some photos from these routes, both of which I have still to do.

Also enjoyed doing Pinnacle Ridge a couple of months ago.

Dramatic pics these. You were blessed with excellent weather, a rarity. in 7 visits (totalling 5 weeks) over 5 years i had only 1 totally sunny day!!!! I'm more desperate than ever to return having seen your report.

Great pictures, fantastic views, but please tell me this isn't the only way to bag these Munros - no mention of these scrambles in Cameron's book!

I certainly wouldn't come out of the closet for it, no Actually, I thought it didn't look that bad compared to the earlier photos where it looks like the view from an aeroplane. I gather you're a full-blown climber Gaffr and not just a scrambler?

Don't worry old man both can be reached from other directions. Basically when travelling up the path from Loch Slapin side don't turn right at the first major path junction, ie the one heading into Choire a' caise. The main path will take you upwards for Bla Bheinn.
For Sgurr Dubh Mor there are several alternatives from the Glen Brittle side.
But of course you must make the journey to visit Loch Coruisk.
