Good weather forecast - didn’t turn out that way until late in the day. Cloud base from about 800m so spent most of the day in the clouds. Drove from Coylumbridge up to Inverness then down to Struy. Arrived too early just after 0800.

First through the gate at 0900. Drove past the power station and parked past Inchvuilt at the end of the track down from Beinn na Muice. Cycled back east to just before the power station, locked the bike up and headed up the track beside the Allt Coire Mhuillidh then NE to Sgurr na Ruaidhe. Boggy in places. Lost the track on and off. Picked it up again up to the first summit.

The on to Sgurr Fhuar-thuill. The odd view here and there as the clag occasionally lifted but soon back in the clouds.

Had planned to head west to the 1,015m top for the view west then down towards Sgurr na Muice per SMC handbook - then down to the stalkers path before detouring to walk up the Graham, Beinn na Muice. However, due to the clag and lack of views, decided just to head back down.

Needless to say as I got lower down the weather cleared up with views back up to the ridge and the sun came out ! Still, got some photos of the waterfalls, a frog and a slow worm - also got a short video of it.

Back to the car and headed east to pick up the bike. Had met several walkers on the hills who were heading clockwise. Also, two walkers doing the same as me but didn’t see them again as I started up the track just ahead of them. Spoke to some people at the car - the glen was now quite busy with more cars and visitors - sun out, lovely day just a pity it didn’t appear until mid afternoon !
