Well done and thanks for posting this.

I've done Tower Ridge in nasty snow conditions - i.e. the snow was nasty, soft and slippery, and was wondering what Observatory Ridge was like.

I have to say it looks very good to me! Must give it a go.

Cheers

Great report and pictures and it seems the Club experience is the way to go and people seem pleased to share skills and experience.I have just lost a walking buddy to him moving to Hampshire!! I take it the Lomond Club is near Glasgow?

Good report :) . Had my eye on this for a bit, but I know it's a grade or two harder than the other main ridges on the Ben, so not too sure about it. You didn't mention the mantrap - is that the most difficult part of the route?

Mantrap and 40ft corner are on the North East buttress :)

So they are - having a bit of a dumb moment there   .

NE Buttress is the one I really want to do, but would quite fancy this one as well. It just doesn't get quite as good light and views as it is sort of stuck between NE Buttress and Tower Ridge.

Enjoyed your report and photos - looks a much better way to ascend but I'm pretty sure there's no way I'd ever want to try it - cheers :)
