Did this last Wednesday, MWIS had 60% chance of cloud free Munros and it really cleared up on the day so camera got over used. Been down Glen Etive for Starav etc, still got this one, Fhionnlaidh and Sgulaird to do but decided to get this one from the A82 then the other 2 from the end of the Glen Etive road.

Easy to miss the car park as it's just round a bend, plenty or room but only one other car. Crossing the bridge on the main road gets the most dangerous part of the day over, then up onto the private road:

Easy walk in:

There's now a path bypassing the houses further up, bit boggy but the've put stones down:

Path and start of Corbett ahead:

On track again, looking back to Aonach Eagach:

Meall Lighiche ahead, route is up grassy shoulder on the right. Sgor na h-Ulaidh in cloud on the left:
Image

Craggy bits on the way up, attempted to scramble straight up but was a bit tricky so took easier route:

View down to the track:

After the easy walk in I was struggling to get used to the sudden steep gradient, soon eased off though. Bit boggier here:

Sgor na h-Ulaidh getting clear of cloud:

Path to top of Lighiche, Beinn a'Bheithir in background:

Cairn at top, looking towards Mull:

Then back along grassy path for a bit of descent/reascent :? :

Bit craggy on the descent to bealach, path up SNH is grassy shoulder on right:

A grassy shoulder:

Again, crags on the way up. Gets a bit steep with loose scree/rocks too:

Back down to bealach:

Another camera break at steep bit, Fhionnlaidh:

Wahey, up on top at last. Summit ahead:
Image

Across to Starav, good to see hills I've done recently even if I can't remember all their names  :
Image

Views from the top:

Met a couple of guys here, they'd been at the cairn for a while soaking up the views so I did the same. I'd been checking my time up to here but had a look around and decided there was no rush :D :

Image

Bit scrambly coming down from the cairn, view back from the path to next top:
Image

Last cairn of the day on Stob an Fhuarain:
Image

Onwards to bealach after this then descended back towards path, bits of craggy rocky bits on the way down but no problems:
Image

Then down the side of a burn, eventually there's a stalker's path and it gets a bit boggy despite recent dry weather. Joined the track to walk out with Aonach Eagach ahead:

Great report and photos. I did those last November, sadly my memory card crashed and I lost my photos. :(

How is the alternative path faring? The last time I was up it was a hop scotch of old paving slabs and the like.

That's a good description, was fine in good weather but hopscotch skills required in the wet. :D
