Started from the A835 and crossed the flat bog to the Allt a' Gharbhrain.

This was easy to cross as it was very low, there were several routes across on stepping stones. Crossed some flat bog and then picked up the Allt nah-Uidhe which I followed as I headed towards the low point on the ridge above. Got some nice pictures on the way up.

As I reached the ridge the rain closed in and it was on with full waterproofs for the walk to the summit dome.

I waited here for the weather to clear up a bit so that I could get some more pictures of the Ullapool hills. I also managed to get some atmospherice pictures of the clouds all around me.

After a bit of lunch I headed back down stopping again to get some views of Choire Ghranda and The Fannich Hills.

Back across the bogs and back at the car in lovely sunshine again.

Overall it's a bit of a slog up some very wet and boggy ground, with little to break the monotony of the climb. The views however would be outstanding on a clear day. Even with the poorish weather I had it was worth the effort.

Good to see Beinn Dearg from top as the day we were there it was thick clag. Had to wade the river - and the bogs come to that! :? All in all not my favourite hill!
