Vorlich and Stuc a'Chroin in a thunderstorm

There are occasions when meeting adverse conditions, battling through them and coming out on top can be very satisfying. I always remember my father saying how he loved being in a car when it was chucking it down outside! Very enjoyable read of your report.

Thanks all for your kind comments. We did realise that it is not normally considered wise to be on top of a hill in a thunderstorm, but having driven 200 miles to get there we weren't giving up easily! And all the time it looked like it was going to pass over quickly. We were wet but never really cold, which would have been a lot worse!

The fearsome Stuc a'Chroin strikes again! I'm sure that hill is jinxed lol

First time I tried it, bro forgot his insulin, had to turn back between Vorlich and it.
Second time it was scorching, got sunburnt, had to fight with a field full of pine trees and a deer fence and I'm sure the amount of water I drank nearly emptied some reservoir somewhere when I got back to Strathryre.

Last week my friend twisted his ankle on it last week and now you've had this!
It's jinxed I tell you!!!

Mind you, it does make an impressive sight from Stenny on a clear day.
