First of all the reason behind the title. There are two Corbetts in Kintail, Sgurr a' Bhac Chaolais & Buidhe Bheinn, both are 885m but there is not enough drop between them for them both to be Corbetts so they are classed as siamese twins and both have to be climbed by the purist to claim the Corbett. As i have only climbed Sgurr a' Bhac Chaolais so far some may say i've only did 99 and a half Corbetts or probably just 99 but for the time being i'll take Sgurr a' Chaorachain as my 100th. Now to the report, again like yesterday the weather was not good but was to clear in the afternoon so i left it till later before heading off. I arrived at the start at 1.30pm after the drive up the steep twisting road which reminded me of the film, The Italian Job, even more so on my way back as four Minis raced up behind me. As it was still claggy when i arrived i had lunch in the car studied the map and wondered if i shoud go or not. I decided to give it a go at 2pm, thinking i'd walk to the mast, stick to the crest of the ridge then over to the other ridge and walk to the summit, what could go wrong :? So i arrive at the mast check the map again and go with my plan, 20mins later i arrive back at the mast after walking round in circle  . Do i give up or do i do it properly and get the compass out with the map? I get map and compass out and see i have to head south for 10-15mins and then head east and hopefully on to the summit. It all went like clockwork as i headed east i picked up the path passed over several cairns made it to the summit. I returned the same way, happy to have notched up my hundreth and also happy with my navigation and the morale of the story is allways use map and compass. I also took a photo of the cairns i passed on the way back down. :D
