Great effort in any conditions - let alone nasty ones  . The weather on Saturday was the other way round in Glencoe - claggy at first, then clearing nicely 8) .

Manc - I did think about going with the Weegie duo, but on this kind of walk, you need to go at your own pace.. Too slow and I would of been cold, If I was with someone faster than me I would of constantly been trying to keep up and used up too much energy early on to complete the round. I know I did the right thing by going by myself. I knew there were folk behind me that would of caught me up and helped me out in an emergency, so that was safer than my usual routes tbh! :)
As for the Germans, I told myself that maybe they weren't so good at speaking English, but I never met a german that wasn't fluent before. The 3 there on Saturday night were a laugh though
I have done a fair bit of touring in Germany in my rock n roll days, so I know Germans have a slightly different sense of humour! :D

Kev - Thanks, very kind words, you made me blush

That always makes the walking twice as difficult so much kudos for not packing it in and carrying on.

Hope you get better weather next time.

I'm alright with a soaking, its when the wind is up as well and you get slapped in the face with it constantly.. Not knowing if the wet on your face is sweat, rain or dreepy nose snot.. Oh the joys of this pastime are endless...

I am blessed by the bad weather faerie.. Never any good weather for BC :( Its my dad, and Liethy that have the weather gods on side.. When we going out again Leithy?

Big round in a beautiful area. Two weeks ago it was full of Germans as well although they were quite chatty. Midges were unbelievable to. More in my tent than outside.

Fairly average walk compared to some of your others bc. Only bogs, clag, rivers, bloody thumbs, slips and soakings. No broken limbs, severe falls, or hypothermia...... oh.... and a seriously great report

As ever, your report oozes persistence and determination - and you just have to scroll down to see what's gong to happen to you next.

However, most admirable for me was the way you just shrugged off the glorious conditions that were revealed the following morning - I'd have been fuming at the hand the weather gods had dealt - never mind having to set the fire as the last to depart.

Well done and what's next?
