Thought I'd have a change this time and do a linear walk as we had two cars, so we drove to Seatoller and left one car there then drove back down to Langdale and set off up the band. I think this is the best days weather I've had in the lakes. Warm and sunny but no haze and a light cooling breeze and some interesting clouds. Heres the map and a few images.
This board helps you to share your walking route experiences in England and Wales... or overseas.
Warning
Please note that hillwalking when there is snow lying requires an ice-axe, crampons and the knowledge, experience and skill to use them correctly. Summer routes may not be viable or appropriate in winter. See winter information on our skills and safety pages for more information.

Beautiful shots Chris, weather like that seems to be quite rare this year. What a great day hiking this must have been, makes me want to get back to the lakes

Mind if I ask where you parked? I'm looking for somewhere to park the car whilst I do a 2 day wander back to it but didn't see anywhere obvious when I drove through last week.

We parked one car on the road just before the bridge near the campsite in langdale, the other car was left on the national trust car park at Seatoller £6.50

Ouch. I could live with the cost (just) but I doubt I can leave it there over a couple of nights.
