Walked down the road towards Auchlean, turned left at the boulder which directs you to Carn Ban Mor and followed the path. Path took us upto and over Tom Dubh, we crossed the river and made our way to Monadh Mor ridge. Windy on the ridge as we made our way to the summit and onwards to Beinn Bhrotan where the wind picked up even more. Kim was a bit concerned with the wind but carried on to the summit. We returned the same way. A long walk across the plateaux with not much ascent but a good walk at that. This was our 50th Munro together, which i only realised when updating walkhighlands.

Enjoyed this walk when i did it although it was a calm day. Are you casually leaning on the trig or hanging on for grim death

A good day out, Johnny, it's always nice to see the Cairngorms out of the clag.

I've stayed in Kingussie and Newtonmore, but never approached the range from this side. These two and Sgor Gaoith seem like hills to look forward to.

Great report JC, love the photos. That first shot of Beinn Bhrotain is an absolute cracker but it looks like you need an anchor on that summit shot, still, wind is better than rain :D Congrats on the 50 together (even if you didn't realise it) you can always celebrate on the next one

Looks a grand walk , even with the wind . This might be a silly question but what's that thing on your arm ?

I had to have a double look myself Gavin as it looks like my hand has went through the rock. It's my jacket sleeves that are rolled up as the velcro straps has came off. :D
