I had been up Ben Loyal and was looking at a little walk nearby my lodgings at Borgie so set off for the beach.

A cracking wee walk around the beach and back up and over the lochan giving superb views back to the mountains of sutherland and across the coast. Could easily pick out Ben Loyal and Ben hope from the small cairn. Even had surfers to watch whilst strolling along th beach!!!

Recommend this to anyone visiting the area.... Took around 2hrs and a little ascent and descent. I did the route from the Torrisdale road as opposed to the Bettyshill road.
