normally I would not post details of a walk in to our base, but this turned out to be a bit of a mission. We had decided to take our bikes and ride most of the way hoping that most of the estate tracks would be in good order but alas they were not good enough to ride on ,so not only did we have large back packs we had to push our bikes the first 12.5 miles which made this walk not enjoyable. This route is an easy flat route and could be done in 6 hours without a bike. It gets a bit boggy in the middle section but as you are on rannoch moor this is to be expected!
