Well done Pete , it sure is a fine day out and a great feeling afterwards . I wonder what percentage of people go for a look down that dead end path , not a nice place to end up !

An achievement magnificently reported - surely a "contender" this month.

Such well-captured detail makes me want to do it again - after over thirty years it's a distant memory that maybe needs refreshing.

Great stuff Pete. I remember reading your report when you did Meall Dearg so good to see you got round to doing the ridge :D

Well done Pete! I enjoyed reading that very much and viewing your pictures. Well impressed at you getting back up there after previous trips to the munro summits. Somewhere I look forward to revisiting

Cheers Gavin. That path needs a notice, or some police tape to stop people going down it. Wasn't nice at all  Thankfully we made our way back, otherwise I think we'd have been off the hill a bit quicker.....

Thanks JC. I remember standing on Meall Dearg on that walk and seeing someone standing on the pinnacles. I thought then they were nuts.........and now I've joined them

Cheers Bod. It was your report that both intrigued and petrified me about this ridge  I recall some of your photos making it look pretty intimidating. So glad I did it though.

Great report Pete, its not really swearing just blowing off the overpressurised vapour from the adrenalin tank.

Great report Pete, Done it myself a couple of times. The first time was in cloud so didn't see the exposure and second time it was a brilliant blue sky day. Just fantastic even with the scary bits.
For interest if that was in Europe the difficult scrambling bits would have wire rope attached. Maybe not so much fun though.
See my Dolomites reports for wire assisted hiking.

Cheers trekker. Not sure I'd have enjoyed it so much with a wire rope. As much as it was a bit uncomfortable at times I think I prefer the freedom we have here in Scotland.

Just read this report for the first time in preperation for our day out on Wednesday, fantastic read you sound like a man after my own heart
Not done, in fact I have actually tried to avoid hills with scrambling as I am kind of scared of heights, the chap you met with jelly legs sounds like me
Not sure why anyone would attempt a walk like that unaccompanied :o
You really captured the moments & the photo's matched your descriptions
Planning to take loads of photo's, that is unless my hands are too sweaty
