Fantastic report! You lucky lot! The pictures tell what a great day it was. Well done to all of you!

rockhopper wrote:Unfortunately the good weather didn’t look as though it would stay – not long before we were in the clag. On some sections this was probably a good thing as it partially hid the drops from view.

I haven’t quite decided whether I would prefer clag or views when I will be doing this walk. Your pictures with the views are amazing, those colours! But a bit of mist to partially hide the steep drops, hmmmm.

Well done to all of you and fine pics to boot! I think you chose to follow Alan on the right hill. It's basically a straight ridge and he really would have to try to get lost. I've seen him try to get lost before in the Gorms, I do believe he even lost his GPS unit.

Oh RH, what a fabbie report!!!!

Really top notch photos too, this is about the fourth time I've looked them.

As for AlanS being your guide, it doesn't surprise me. Alan was the first person I spoke to who couldn't wait to go back over A/E and he really encouraged me to take the first opportunity to get up there. He gave me loads of advice and dispelled a lot of the myths I'd heard about it.

Slow down man!!!

That must have felt like a stroll in the park after all your "Steve Fallon-esque" type walks recently.

Fantastic ridge and i agree, not as scary as made out to be.

Well done to all of you.
