Thanks Mark
My old Munro book says E top is summit but I Should have looked at the map. I arrived on the ridge SE of Carn Liath thinking I was near the top. Found it was nearly 1km away with a big valley between - Doh! Contoured around thru all the wet snow, but I've an awful feeling I just missed that cairn . descending into the bealach wasn't easy and getting down the NE shoulder from the E top took a age - all the wet snow sliding off the steep grass. Still it's a local Munro and I'll do it again. Far the best route is a traverse - up Twistin hill and descent to Inverlochrig (no bog) - just need a friend with a car!
managed An Caisteal and Ben Chabair last Friday. Long day for me boggy return
Cheers Tony
