I did this walk with Kim and Alan and as Alan hadn't been out for 2 months he was looking for something gentle to ease him back in. Plan A was to climb only Morven via the Walkhighlands route but after a bit of research and reading a report on here i noticed we could climb Morven from Glen Fenzie, thus saving about 1hrs driving time, with the possibility of adding on the Graham, Mona Gowan. After running plan B by Alan and Kim we decided on this route and would decide whether to add the Graham on once we had summited Morven. We reached Morven in just over 2 hrs, taking the track from Glen Fenzie, passing Morven Lodge then crossing the burn to reach the track that runs along the south of Morven. We left this track to take a fainter track up and then a path to the summit of Morven. At the summit we signed the book then had some lunch and as the weather was still ok and we were all feeling fit we decided to head to Mona Gowan. Fence posts helped with navigation although visibility was perfect for us as we made our way to Mona Gowan, cutting across the rough terrain towards the Slacks of Glencarvie. From here we made our way to the huge cairn and summit of Mona Gowan. We descended down the south ridge to the track which led back to the start. All we got weather wise was a light rain shower on our way to Mona Gowan and once we were all in the car, the heavens opened which was perfect timing to what was a great day out with all the usual banter along the way. During the walk i told Alan there was a singer named after Morven but i don't think he believed me

I've had an eye on this or a similar route too for some time, so this will be useful stuff when I get around to it.

Good route :) . We did much the same, and it made for more of a day out than just doing Morven on its own.

Thanks Chris. Monty, there is a log book in a box at the cairn of Morven which is signed by walkers. You'll be signing it next year when you get fully into the Corbetts
