Yesterday I reclimbed Carn Bhac, this time scaling the north top, as in 1984 I scaled the south top, which was shown as the higher, only to recently discover that the current OS map, based on a more recent survey has the north top as 26m higher.

Thus, this now became my last Munro & all the Munroist o'er the last 8 years should therefore deduct one fae their given SMC number!

My sincere apologies for the tardiness o' ma reply to your query.

Compared to the return fae the foot o' the NE ridge of Beinn Dearg on my previous outing, the traverse fae the end o' the track o'er twa cols tae Carn Bhac was akin tae the Atacama desert...
There is the odd incipient wee peat hag & pool o' stagnant water but nowt that cannae be easily avoided in 'normal' conditions.
