Great mountain eh Bod ! Just checked when I did it on a cloudless Sept day BUT my god it was back in 2001 !! Still feels like yestreday....I will be back, its one of my favs.

We didn't have the snow and went striaght over the pinnacles and it may be the memory fading given it was 11 years ago but I don't recall anything that scared the pants off me. Mind you your bypass pic above Jeez that looks a bit tight....Collies Ledge stuff (and no I havn't been there yet either !). :D

Oh Bod what a wonderful report!!!! Glad you were lucky to get such a good day for it.

I spent a night last summer camping alone right across from Liathach, with it being the last hill I saw before drifting off to sleep and the first in the morning. It's awe-inspiring and reports like yours get me all excited to see it again. If I'm lucky weatherwise, I'll get to go up in May!

Great report, well done Bod, Val and Gordon.

Was on Alligin earlier this year looking over at the grey one, but it took your excellent pics to give me armchair vertigo :) .

The BEAST of Torridon!!! Well done on taming it
It's a grand adventure, this one, I'm still recovering from the impression it made on me when I did it in July.... The snow makes it look even better.
We were in Torridon on Sunday doing a low level walk and got completely soaked in the heavy shower, but when the sun was shining we kept glancing towards Liathach... One scary monster :D

Brilliant report :D . I'd missed this initially but I just happened across some of the photos on facebook. Always wanted to do this with some snow on, but have bottled out before as it is quite difficult in full winter conditions. A bit of early snow looks like the perfect compromise :)

Tantalising indeed Bod

When I saw your amazing photos on FB, my first thought was ....please tell me they didn't go over the pinnacles in those conditions!!!!

Then I was reading this report, I was getting nearer and nearer to the edge of my seat to see if you did it or not! Phew!!!So glad you didn't!!!

Ron and I had perfect conditions for doing them, anything less and I would have been on the bypass path as well. That being said, that bypass path didn't look that braw in some of the bits that I could see

Well done on one your best ever reports

PS why does Valerie never look like a train wreck in any of her photos???

Looked a brilliant day Bod, with pictures to match  .
Liathach still remains my scariest ever mountain day (and I''ve done many scary things since) I did it solo in snow and ice, just getting to the ridge was an epic and then the pinnacles! The bypass path was not an option that day being obliterated by snow and ice :(
