With a couple of days to spare I wanted to head up to Edinburgh for some walking mainly in the Pentland hills. The plan was to do Arthur's seat as soon as I arrived then the Pentlands the day after.
All the way up from England the weather was terrible with flash flooding everywhere and just got worse the further north I got.
The rain was so bad in Edinburgh I ditched the idea of going out and hoped the next day would be better.
It was so I headed for the Pentland classic along the ridge taking in Scald Law before heading back around to Black Hill.
It was a fantastic little walk, much better than I expected. It amazed me how easy you can get away from it all right on Edinburgh's doorstep.

Nice - especially the two Kips, and inside Green Cleugh. I thought about going up there today, but I've got a cold and no energy :/
