A meeting of Walkhighlanders, this was to be an epic weekend! Munroman Graham was bringing pal Mat up north for his first Munro  and planned for Meall nan Eun and Stob Coir an Albannaich today and then Beinn Challum tomorrow. I'd already been to the summits of all 3 before but genuinely just enjoy hillwalking and wasn't going to miss the banter - no show without punch  Already thinking we'd add one more summit if there was plenty time/daylight left, Scoob and I met up with the rest of the group: Iain, Geo, Jennifer, Dave and Mark making an impressive 9 on this outing :D

We followed the WH route clockwise, starting with Meall nan Eun then Albannaich. It was so early when we got there though :o that we carried on and added Glas Bheinn Mhor... even Munroman "I'll never do a repeat" Graham   Brilliant video summary by Scoob :D

and Mat's first one - well done!

.. but in clag on the busy second summit of the day :D

It was only 2.30pm  - far too early to be heading back down to the car! So the entire group headed for Glas Bheinn Mhor, giving me one new summit this weekend :) one repeat for Graham :( and a third Munro for Mat's Day 1

look how close - it's only just over there!

bit of a climb to start with then it levels off

continued straight over to the next bealach...

... then down through Coire Dubh to pick up the uber-boggy path back to the car

Few slips and slides on the way out, think I took the record for bum slides  but did manage to slip going over the rocks in the last stream crossing so at least I was free of mud  A fantastic day out with great company and to top it off a visit to the Clachaig - a first for me, Scoob and Mat :D

Cracking report Fi and some lovely shots on a pretty dull day, I like the idea of a cool swim to clean off right at the end there
